A plus-sized model has hit back at bodyshamers in the best possible way, after they mocked her during a recent visit to the beach.
Felicity Hayward was enjoying the sun and sand with friends in Greece when she noticed two people laughing at her for wearing a bikini.
The London-based model decided to get revenge by posing for some very provocative snaps.
“To the couple sitting on the beach making fun, laughing and taking photos of me and my friends enjoying our holiday in lil bikinis, I will stand in front of you for 15 mins and take this banging photo, because my body is just as worthy as yours sweetie,” Hayward posted on Instagram.
Hayward shared two photos of herself wearing a skimpy black bikini, complete with a g-string bottom.
The 29-year-old has long campaigned for the fashion industry to use curvy models.
She’s now created her own platform called Self Love Brings Beauty, a body-positive movement aimed at pushing acceptance, self-love and diversity.
“Just because you have a toned gym bod doesn’t mean you are worthy of more respect,” Hayward’s post continued.
“Comparison is the stealer of joy, so I’m gunna live my best life just like this and you can carry on with dealing with your own insecurities.”
Hayward is one of the most in demand curvy models, having worked for Mac, River Island, Missguided, Katy Perry’s INDI perfume, L’oreal and ASOS.
Her legion of fans applauded Hayward’s body positive post, which received close to 17,000 likes.
“I am so happy that you showed them all on Ornos beach that you are comfortable in your own skin,” wrote shazizi1.
“I wish there were more people like you in the world. Keep on rocking those bikinis!”
While sharonhourigan9111 said, “I’m classed as super morbidly obese, and I rarely leave my house because of the hurtful comments of nasty people.
“It’s like being overweight is the worst thing someone could possibly be. People assume the right to judge me and assume all I do is sit around and eat all day, which is not the case at all.
“Felicity, I admire your strength darling.”
