‘What a dream come true!’: Model Adut Akech stuns in striking red ensemble as she graces the cover of Allure Magazine

She’s the Sudanese-Australian model who continues to soar in her modelling career.

And this week, Adut Akech proved why she was previously voted the ‘number one model in the world’ as she graced the cover of Allure Magazine.

The 19-year-old dropped jaws as she stunned in a striking red ensemble for the shoot.

In the photo, Adut wore a pair of stylish sunglasses that were shaped in cat-eyes and featured a red frame.

She also wore what appeared to be an eccentric crimson coat.

Adut’s makeup was kept fresh and dewy as she wore reflective illuminator and a quirky blue-toned lip gloss to her full pout.

In another photo, Adut wore a loose-fitting fuchsia dress, which she paired with a pair of bright orange pumps.

For a pop of colour, the supermodel wore bright pink eye shadow and nude lipstick.

Meanwhile, Adut opened up about her experience with bullying in school while speaking to Allure Magazine.

‘I was bullied by the popular girls about my skin tone, my hair, and especially my gap [teeth], which I’ve grown to love,’ she told the publication.

‘I’m not gonna lie — that made me feel a little insecure, then an ‘I don’t care’ mindset kind of kicked in for me, and I told myself I was beautiful.”

She also explained that her family motivates her to continually strive for success.

‘When I wake up after I’ve only had one hour of sleep and I have to go to a show, I remind myself why I’m doing this, and that’s definitely to help my family. Everything I do is mainly for their future,’ she said.

And Adut took to Instagram to gush over her Allure cover, writing: ‘Wow still can’t believe I’m beyond thrilled to be sharing my @allure magazine May issue cover shot by @studio_jackson.

She continued: ‘What a dream come true! Thank you so much to everyone that played a role in making this shoot happen on and off set. This cover and story means a lot to this little 19 year old South Sudanese refugee girl.’

Adut, who fronted January’s Coach campaign, was born in a refugee camp in South Sudan and arrived in Adelaide when she was just seven-years-old.
